Professional DJ Johnny Hook Spins ALL Genres, however I specialize in the Party/Dance Classics from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's. Today's Pop/Dance and EDM is great but not quite the same as Classic Retro.
My Expertise is Retro from all genres... I mix Rock, Motown, Disco and also mix Classic Rock like dance music! I have most all Videos from all classic genres as well.
Folks love the way I play/mix/overlay, especially the Retro Music! Mixes and combinations that take years to develop, just for your dance or retro event!
My DJ Philosophy
My main DJ emphasis DJ is on the music and custom selection's, creating the perfect balance of originality, spontaneity and customization essential for DJ Programming events In Southern California and in Las Vegas, or anyplace that it may take me.
I craft and play the combination of music you and your guests will enjoy most, as I have a deep knowledge of a wide range of music to incorporate into a variety of events. Most often it is a collaborative process, with the event and theme to dictate the music selections. Spinning since 1979 and after many hundreds of hours of spinning and mixing in large venues and more, I know what works for the room and situation, making it an event to repeat itself without knowing what is coming next in the set.
I also assist restaurant and bar(s) with the best in promotions that can get your venue on fire! It's always a team effort.
